The most recent Extra Care National Residents’ Forum meeting was held at the end of October.
The session was attended by Ian Devereux, Extra Care Committee Member, Tracy Jones, Head of Operational Development in addition to several residents across different schemes.
There were several key topics of discussion, some key themes from the meeting included:
- Scheme managers have been provided with improved information and tools to be able to discuss service charge updates.
- Scheme managers will be underway with People and Property Visits where they will arrange to speak with every resident to discuss their experience of their tenancy so that any issues can be dealt with promptly. These should be complete by the end of December.
- A new repairs dashboard is going live in November so that managers will be able to view contractors’ performance and assess value for money.
- The annual National Residents’ Survey fieldwork is now complete, and the results are being calculated. Schemes with over ten responses will get a bespoke report. Final data relating to the whole of Housing 21 will be available in the New Year.
If you would like to get involved and be a part of the group, please speak to your scheme manager or email StrategicOperationsTeam@housing21.org.uk.
Meetings are held every six to eight weeks on Microsoft Teams and are always attended by an Extra Care Head of Service. Clickable meeting links are sent via email in advance of the meeting, along with an agenda.
