The Extra Care Residents’ Forum met for their planned meeting on 25 June. As has become the custom, this was an energetic and engaging meeting, where residents had the opportunity to offer perspective, oversight and suggestion on a number of areas. Key discussions included: 

  • the National Residents’ Survey: which questions have been causing confusion 
  • data protection: what are the terms of data protection and when and where do they apply for residents 
  • Head of Service update: Ally Dewar presented the action plan in response to the Care Survey 

The minutes from the meeting are being prepared and will be shared with your scheme manager in the coming days, along with a video recording of the session. All of this information will also be published on the ‘Resident Information’ page of the Housing 21 website.

Meetings are held online through Microsoft Teams every two months. This network is an excellent opportunity to amplify your voice and be at the heart of steering Extra Care services for the present and the future.
