The latest Extra Care Residents’ Forum was held on 25 June and discussed a wide range of topics, including: 

• The national Residents’ Survey: Are the questions clear?
• Data Protection: Questions with the Data Protection Officer for Housing 21 on when data can be disclosed
• Head of Service update: Ally Dewar on the Care Survey results and the proposed action plan

As ever, it was a vibrant meeting, full of excellent questions. Since May, this network has now directly influenced several important policies; provided advice on how to communicate with all residents; helped re-write the guidance for the Residents’ Survey. Additionally, residents from this network have become involved in our digital inclusion work, website recommendations and much more. 

There are big plans for this network, as it continues to assess Housing 21’s performance and amplify resident voices to have a tangible impact on service delivery.
