Outstanding Practice Tips
• Make the ‘Financial Abuse’ leaflets readily available to residents to support them in understanding what could be deemed as financial abuse and how to report concerns.
• Regularly discuss Safeguarding as a topic at resident meetings to raise awareness of what safeguarding is, and how to keep residents safe from financial abuse.
• Partner with external agencies who provide IT lessons to enable residents to access online shopping as an alternative, to support them to remain independent.
