Weld Court

Weld Court is a peaceful development situated within an easy walking distance of the centre of Dorchester, overlooking the town’s Borough Gardens.

Just a few minutes’ walk from the Court there are a range of amenities including a Post Office, doctors surgery, dentist, several churches and high street banks. There are five supermarkets within easy reach of the Court.

Dorchester is well known for its independent stores in the main South Street shopping area and the cosmopolitan Brewery Square, which boasts a good selection of boutique shops and eateries. Dorchester town centre has many pubs and restaurants as well as two cinemas and a new multi-million-pound sports centre.

Nearby Borough Gardens holds regular markets and various events throughout the year. French and farmers’ markets are often held in the town’s main shopping street.

There are several bus stops within five minutes’ walk of the court, running regular services to the surrounding villages. Residents can also take advantage of a number of reliable local taxi companies. Bridport and Yeovil are within easy reach and the seaside town of Weymouth is just six miles away. There are two train stations, each about 15 minutes’ walk from the Court.

Weld Court has a communal lounge, laundry room, guest room with twin beds, chair lifts and limited parking available on-site and on-street parking permits are available from the local authority.

Most apartments look out over the gardens. Residents are welcome to get involved with the gardens if they choose and several enjoy tending their own areas of planting. The gardens are surrounded by mature trees and attract a variety of birds and squirrels.
