There is plenty for residents to do in nearby Doncaster, with a general market three days a week and a good selection of pubs, restaurants, gyms, golf courses, a cinema and theatre.
Popular attractions include the famous Doncaster Racecourse, Conisbrough Castle, Cusworth Hall, the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Brodsworth Hall and the Dome leisure centre, where you can go skating, swimming or bowling.
Buses run every 20 minutes from a stop close to the court and will take you into Doncaster or the nearby villages. A mainline train station is just half a mile from the court and provides connections to the wider rail network. Many residents choose to use the community bus and there is also a local taxi offering disabled access transport.
Rokeby Gardens has a range of onsite facilities including several residents’ lounges, an activity room, therapy room, laundry, guest room, lift and Car park. The restaurant and salon are popular with the local community.

The court has extensive and attractive gardens with a summerhouse, activity shed, greenhouse and plenty of pleasant seating areas where residents can relax and enjoy the warmer weather. Residents are welcome to join in with the gardening if they wish. The gardens have nesting boxes, and local schoolchildren visit the gardens to observe the wildlife as part of their curriculum.
Rokeby Gardens is a vibrant and lively court; there are many organised social events to enjoy in the modern and attractive communal areas. In addition to regular coffee mornings and afternoon teas, residents can join in with darts and bingo on games afternoons and get involved in craft club sessions. Visits from entertainers are also on offer and there are off-site day trips to look forward to. As well as a busy indoor social life, the Court has lovely landscaped communal gardens which are an ideal setting for relaxing and socialising during the warmer months.
The court is a short walk from a range of local shops and a small supermarket, and the village also has a post office, church, doctor's surgery and dentist. The church hall is joined to Rokeby Gardens and holds regular events which are popular with residents.
