Communal facilities at the development include three residents’ lounges for socialising, a restaurant, a hairdressers and a fully-equipped assisted bathing suite, as well as landscaped gardens with seating areas.
A court manager is based on-site to provide help and support, and the care team is there 24/7 to provide care services tailored to individual needs.
Oakley Gardens is the third Extra Care development completed in partnership with Sandwell Council, and features a total of 50 one bedroom apartments and 31 two bedroom apartments. It features a dementia-friendly wing with secure and safe outside gardens.
Applicants for apartments need to be aged 55 or over and have a care need. Domestic services can also be purchased on-site privately.
