The town of Newport is only a bus ride away and offers connections to the whole of the island, where there are year-round events to enjoy including walking, cycling and food festivals, village fetes, fairs and music festivals, including Last Night at the Proms at Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s beloved home.
Buses into Newport run every half hour from a stop just outside the court, or there are several local taxi companies which provide a reliable service into town.
Evan Williams Court has a range of on-site facilities including a large communal lounge, kitchen, onsite parking, laundry room, guest room and stair lifts.
The court and residents are proud of the large, well-maintained and landscaped gardens, which have won many awards. Many residents choose to get involved with taking care of the gardens to keep them looking at their best.
The court’s countryside setting means the gardens attract a wide variety of local wildlife including partridges, ducks, birds of prey and red squirrels.
