The local high street is a 10-minute walk away from Dolphin Court, accessible by foot or scooter. A farmers' market is held every fortnight in Hythe, and each August the town holds a festival week. For those who like the outdoors, there is a local park with bandstand, and a bowls, cricket and rowing club.

Dolphin Court benefits from excellent transport links. The nearest bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the court, with buses running to Folkestone and Ashford. There is a small station in Saltwood, which is a 10 minute drive from Hythe; or Folkestone has two train stations.
