Chesterfield is less than two miles away and has a varied programme of events all year round including a regular market, football matches and concerts at the local stadium. Annual events in the local area include the Bakewell and Chatsworth shows.
The bustling town also boasts many pubs, cafés and restaurants as well as a theatre, cinema and the beautiful Queens Park which holds regular activities and events.
The nearest bus stop is just outside the court and services run every 20 minutes into Chesterfield, where you can catch buses to the whole of Derbyshire. In the other direction, regular buses take you to Staveley and Sheffield. Chesterfield train station is less than two miles away. Community transport is available to Devonshire Court residents and there are a number of reliable taxi companies in the area.
Devonshire Court has large communal gardens overlooked by all the flats and many residents choose to tend the small area in front of their property. The gardens are fully enclosed and child-friendly and attract a variety of local wildlife.

This friendly Court has a proactive social committee and regular activities held in the bright, modern communal lounge include coffee mornings, lunch clubs, games afternoons, bingo sessions and free off-site outings.
The large communal gardens attract a variety of local wildlife and provide the venue for an annual summer fair as well as being a lovely outdoor space for relaxation and socialising in fine weather and residents are welcome to tend their own immediate garden areas.
