A 10 minute bus ride away in Margate there is a Morrison’s supermarket and Iceland store. Nearby Westwood Cross shopping centre is very popular with residents, hosting a wide variety of shops and a Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
Buses run throughout the day from a stop just outside the court and will take you into nearby Margate, or there are several reliable taxi companies used by residents. There is also a train station in Westgate on Sea offering connections to towns and villages in the area.
Countess Mountbatten Court has a communal lounge, lift, laundry, and guest room. The peaceful and child-friendly gardens are attractive and well-maintained, with lawns, flowerbeds and seating areas where residents can relax and enjoy the fresh air. Anyone is welcome to join in with the gardening if they choose. The gardens attract a variety of wildlife.

The landscaped gardens, with their variety of visiting wildlife, are an ideal place for a spot of outdoor relaxation in fine weather and residents are welcome to join in with a spot of gardening if they choose.
The court is just a short distance from the local shops, restaurants and cinemas and near the quiet, sandy beaches of St Mildred’s Bay and Westbay. There are also scenic costal walks just a short distance away and a golf course within walking distance.
