Tewkesbury has a rich heritage with many well-attended events and festivals. These include a famous battle re-enactment which takes place at the Abbey each July, the annual Mop Festival and a monthly farmers’ market.
The court is two minutes’ walk from the newly-built Tewkesbury hospital and there is a range of services nearby including several doctors surgeries, dentists, a Post Office, banks and churches.
Nearby Cheltenham Spa is the largest town in the area, offering a wider range of shops and things to see and do including the renowned Regency architecture.
Local buses run regularly into Cheltenham, Gloucester and Worcester from a stop near to the court and there is a train station at Ashchurch, just two miles away. Tewkesbury has a good taxi service with wheelchair access and a locally run minibus takes residents to supermarkets in the area once a week.
Clee House has an attractive and welcoming lounge where residents can sit and chat or catch up with their favourite television programmes. Other on-site facilities include two guest rooms, lift and ample parking for residents and their visitors.
Attractive gardens surround the court. Residents take pride in the gardens and there are a number of keen gardeners who tend the flowers and hanging baskets. With a small river running alongside of the property, the court has ducks in the garden and a resident fox who visits most evenings.
