Chindit Court has a range of on-site facilities, including a large residents’ lounge and kitchen area, a guest room, hairdresser, two laundries and ample parking. The lounge has a selection of library books and talking books, which are supplied by Rotherham library and changed monthly.
The court has extensive gardens with raised beds, trellises and shaded seating areas and patios. Residents are welcome to get involved with the gardening if they choose. The gardens are visited by a variety of wildlife.
There is plenty for residents to do in the area, with many pubs, cafés and restaurants, a community centre, bowling green and theatre.
Buses run regularly from a stop at the end of the street and will take you to Dinnington’s transport interchange, where there are frequent bus services to Rotherham, Sheffield and Worksop. The towns all have their own train stations which provide connections to the mainline rail network. Many residents also use the dial-a-ride service to get around the area.

Chindit Court is a friendly and welcoming court with a proactive social committee helping to organise a wide range of events for residents to join in with. Activities include regular coffee mornings and bingo, music club, a monthly communion service and twice yearly clothes shows. The extensive mature gardens play host to a variety of wildlife and have plenty of seating areas for outdoor relaxation in fine weather, residents may also get involved in a spot of gardening if they choose to.
Dinnington has a weekly market, post office, doctors surgeries, dentists, banks, churches and a wide variety of independent shops. Larger supermarkets are also within walking distance of the court.
