There is a nearby leisure centre with indoor and outdoor swimming pools and sports hall offering regular classes and activities. Residents can also enjoy the nearby small park and Moira Furnace which has a small museum and shopping area offering local crafts. Conkers and Twycross Zoo are a short drive away and there are cinemas in nearby Swadlincote and Burton on Trent.
The Beeches Public House and Restaurant is about 5 minutes walk away, and there are plenty of places both in Ashby town and locally to get good quality food at a reasonable price.
Ashby-de-la-Zouch holds many events, such as the monthly farmers market and a popular food festival. Nearby Moira also holds events along the canal-side. Conkers has regular concerts and Ashby has its own small theatre. The Ashby agricultural show is held in July and brings many people to the area.
Buses run hourly into town from a stop opposite the court. A bus stop, five minutes’ stroll away, provides services to Burton on Trent where there is a mainline train station. A weekly bus collects residents from the court for trips to the supermarket.

The court is surrounded by extensive and well-maintained gardens with lawns, flowerbeds and borders. The court attracts a range of wildlife because of its rural location and planting schemes designed to appeal to bees, birds and butterflies. Residents are welcome to participate in the gardening if they choose.
A friendly and supportive Court where residents enjoy organising social activities such as coffee afternoons, bingo, lunch clubs plus events which include members of the wider community. The venue for most social activities is the bright, modern, communal lounge and dining area but the landscaped communal gardens, having been planted to attract birds and butterflies, also provide a lovely alternative option for relaxation and socialising in warm weather.
The court is conveniently situated in a quiet area and is close to local amenities and a short distance from larger supermarkets.
