What it means for employees
We recognise that having a truly diverse workforce that is reflective of our communities is not only the right thing to do, but is actually great for the organisation. Diverse thinking bring innovation and fresh ideas; it sends a positive message and build trust with our residents and other stakeholders.
At Housing 21 we celebrate diverse events that are important to our diverse workforce. We are Investors in People Platinum accredited and have been ranked third in Glassdoor's Best Places to Work UK 2024 list. These reflect our focus on people and we are always developing our sensitivity towards diverse needs.
Recent initiatives and project groups have focused on disabilities, menopause and mental health wellbeing. Our employees are our most valuable asset and we recognise that each and everyone has something unique and different to offer; we celebrate that!
We have several employee networks including LGBTQ+, Diversity 4 Inclusion, The Respect and Inclusion Network and the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Group. These networks all help us to make the right choices whilst also bringing attention to important dates such as Ramadan, Pride, Black History Month and Disability History Month.
We always welcome feedback from employees about our approach to respect and inclusion, including new initiatives and ways to improve.
