The all-electric Retirement Living scheme is being delivered by Housing 21, leading national provider of Retirement Living and Extra Care. The scheme has been funded by Homes England and is set to be completed in 2026.
The scheme will incorporate an energy-efficient, all-electric heating system. The apartments have been designed to benefit from adequate natural light and ventilation.
The development will comprise 55 homes: 41 one-bedroom and 14 two-bedroom apartments, all of which will be available for social rent.

“As part of our on-going commitment to social housing we are bringing life back to a once derelict brownfield site and creating a new neighbourhood for people to be proud of.
“Together with Housing 21 this is the first of a pipeline of social rent schemes we are building over the next few years through collaborative working with like-minded people and are looking forward to seeing it complete and full of life again.
Once open, the scheme will provide residents with modern communal spaces, including a residents’ lounge.
