There is excitement across Housing 21 after the recent announcement that employees have been recognised in the Housing with Care awards.  

More than 30 employees from across the organisation received nominations from their peers for their dedication and commitment to their roles and were shortlisted across 20 categories.  

The categories include the Care Team award, Frontline Leader and the Lifetime Achievement award.  

The inaugural awards are conducted by Care Talk magazine to recognise and celebrate excellence in accommodation and services for retirement integrated communities. 

As part of the shortlisting process, nominees were invited to attend an online interview with the independent judging panel. 

Kris Peach, Executive Director for Extra Care at Housing 21, said: “To receive so many shortlistings is not only a testament to the amazing work by our Care Teams, but to the strength of team morale with so many employees taking time out of their day to celebrate their colleagues.  

“At Housing 21 we put residents at the heart of everything we do and to offer the best service to our residents, we recruit and retain the best employees. 

“As the largest provider of Extra Care services, it is great to see so many people and services being recognised as finalists. 

“We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of care to our residents so to be in receipt of so many nominations it reaffirms that we are absolutely doing everything right in delivering an excellent service through excellent teams.” 

The awards ceremony will take place at the London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square on Friday 9 June.  

Housing 21 received nominations for the following categories: Care and Support Worker, Care Team award, Chef award, Frontline Leader, Housekeeper award, Housing Manager award, Housing team award, Housing with Care Apprentice award, Employer award, Team Leader award, Tenant Co-production award, Workforce Development award and Lifetime Achievement award.
